Just got email from Ironman, who say at this stage, given the forecast wind direction, a full swim is planned.... should be an epic race against the elements

I will probably go with 40 front and 80 ...

The hardest part of any IM race is the Trudge back to wherever with the tiny string of your swim bag cutting though your neck and shoulder with the weight of a soggy wetsuit!

Powertap/ hub should read lower than crank based pm all things being equal.

Power in (crank) v power out (hub) due to drive chain loss: often quoted around 10w.
