1. Ironman distance, but not Ironman branded (Too expensive)
2. Must be UK
3. July/August 2019
3. Good roads (TT'er by choice, so love a long dual carriageway, don't like
twisty lanes.)
4 Flat run, ideally laps
5. Well organised
6. Great atmosphere

...Is Outlaw my only option..?

1. Midnightman in Dartford

Cheap as chips. No hotel required (unless you are a zillion miles away from South East)
something "different" (it starts at 6PM)
However I Wouldn't call it "great atmosphere - not at 4AM in a housing estate in Dartford - but is on a dual carriageway for the bike leg... and has lots of laps!!

2. The Brutal - but doesn't meet all your requirements... (not a TT course)

3. http://decauk.co.uk/One_a_day_Single.html

Single Iron (as part of a Deca and other stuff) - first time its being run - but cant imagine its full of razzamatazz - but is flat bike and laps.

So - Outlaw looks like your race of choice - ticks all your boxes (although isn't as cheap as it once was)

Racenewforest are running a new Forestman IM distance race in May, New Forest roads are reasonable, run is off road and not the flatest, but it is a very nice run

If you included June and could find a space then Lakesman would be the one.

Roads aren't very good at Outlaw, and a lot of slow tight turns on lap 1&3....but this is the UK, and it's not a TT. Run around the rowing lake is boring AF.

That's what's putting me off...and the stinky water.

I absolutely hate racing in the UK, it's utterly crap in almost every way...but I'm a bit short on £££ and want to get fit again..!

Forestman, especially as it;'s the return for one year only. Bike is undulating at best, quite fast in parts, run is certainly not flat but who cares, you are running in some of the countries best scenery.
