Basically I came off the TT bike doing 25mph last September. Due to the injuries I sustained the bike was put on the turbo and I focussed on the MTB. I thought the bike was ok until I started to prep it properly for the TT season and have discovered that the down tube has a crack in it a potential crush behind the front wheel space on the down tube as well.

I am a little bit gutted but the bike is 6 years old and has served me well. I need to get a new frame as I can transfer everything over but I need suggestions as I cannot afford a new P6 frameset so max budget will be 1500 to 2000 at a stretch.

This is an easy one. Speed Concept. Friendly geometry, and fast.

I'm still using a gen 1 SC7.5 frame, it's a PITA to cable, but what else is going to be faster without spending ? For 1500-2k you should be able to pick-up a Gen 2 fully integrated series 7 frameset on Ebay or FB group; they are apparently a lot easy to 'wrench' than gen 1.

You'll want a M or L; I ride a Large with a seat height of 76cm and it's spot-on for me. Could ride a M, but it would be more cramped with a bigger saddle-bar drop that I don't need (longer body for my height).

Cheers Jorgan I moved from gen 1 SC 7 to the P5, despite the bad reputation of the P5 I found it was easy to travel with and as the bike is DA Di2 the cable issue for a SC should be easier.....

I've spent the last few nights rebuilding my SC7.5 after the respray. I did several things that I had to then undo, as I'd forgotten that everything has to be done in order, and the rear brake cable housing has to be in exactly the right place before you commit to the gear cable guides Rolling Eyes As it was, I had to whip the brake housing out and re-thread it from the BB end, using a bent spoke and a headtorch Rolling Eyes Whoever designed that cabling around the BB/ rear brake area needs shooting.

Yeah, good shout.

Here's a pic of the offending article; I took the picture all proud of my work, using liners to keep the crud off the gear cables...but oh look, I've fixed them in place and indexed everything and forgotten to keep the blue brake cable in the centre recess for the brake assembly to go on top Rolling Eyes So had to drag it out and re-route.

Apart from the P5 6 I cannot get excited about Cervelos anymore. I opted for a Trinity Advance Pro TT frameset and will order the bento box for it. I couldn't use a front mounted hydration system on the P5 so I will not lose sleep over on it. Just need to wait for it's arrival and spend the weekend building it up.....

Hopefully the brakes are better than its predecessor, the Trinity Advance SL!

I would expect that the paperwork is with the ITU as I write - the P5X got approval not long after it's launch.
